What’s it about?

We firmly believe that cleanliness leads to better health and better health leads to a better quality of life.

The Necessity Pantry exists to provide personal hygiene items to those in need. We offer shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, disposable razors, shaving cream, bath soap, lotion, deodorant, laundry detergent, toilet paper and feminine hygiene and incontinence products.

An Ecumenical Effort

The Necessity Pantry is a cooperative ministry supported by the following Episcopal Churches: Resurrection in Blue Springs, St. Anne’s in Lee’s Summit, Trinity and St. Michael’s in Independence, and St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Independence.

Partners Around the Community

We are proud to work with the following partners: Giving the Basics, Harvesters, Sam’s Club, Walmart; Independence Young Matrons; Junior League of Kansas City; Diocese of West Missouri; and funded in part by a grant from Truman Heartland Community Foundation.
